The Miron Student Center at Kean University is a cornerstone of campus life, providing a variety of events, resources, and services that foster community engagement and student development. However, despite its wide array of activities, there is a common challenge that many students face: a lack of awareness about the events and opportunities available to them. Improving event promotion and communication strategies within the Miron Student Center could significantly increase student participation, enhance the sense of campus community, and ensure that students make the most of the valuable resources offered.

To actuate and solve this problem the student center should increase the frequency of social media posts on Instagram to increase user engagement and develop a social media plan to post new reels 3-4 times per week for engagement and other posts for dissemination of event information and promotions.  In addition to this, the Miron Student Center can also integrate their Cougar Link event updates as emails to the appropriate students by storing information about members of the various University Clubs and organizations in an Event Database and sending notifications to the appropriate parties when their club or organization is having an event in the student center, as students tend to open their emails more frequently compared to the cougar link page.

Lack of Diverse Food Options The dining options within the Miron Student Center are somewhat limited, and many students feel that the food offerings do not fully reflect the diverse tastes and dietary preferences of the campus community. Additionally, some students have expressed concern over the limited availability of healthy or vegetarian options. The area that needs improvement Increasing the variety of food options especially those that are healthier and represent a wider range of cultures will help guarantee that every kid can choose meals that satisfy their nutritional requirements. To satisfy a variety of tastes, this can entail adding more plant-based recipes, gluten-free options, and international cuisines. Furthermore, taking into account student opinions and surveying food preferences could influence future offerings.
